18 First Places finishes by Oakville Sea Cadets Compete at the Grand Flotilla

Oakville Swim Team 2013-1RCSCC OAKVILLE’s swim team participated in the Grand Flotilla swim competition on Sunday, 21 April 2013 and finished second out of four teams.  18 first place finishes were recorded.  This is the best finish for RCSCC OQKVILLE since the Corps was established in 1999.  The competing Sea Cadet Corps were RCSCC HAIDA (Mississauga), RCSCC ILLUSTRIOUS (Brampton) and RCSCC CHAUDIERE (Milton).  First place medals were handed out to all cadets that finished first.  RCSCC HAIDA finished first overall.  Congratulations to all cadets that participate and special thanks to Lt(N) Sean Livingston and CV Trish Feil for their superb coaching of the team.  Thanks also to CI Karen Reed and Mrs. Trenholme for the running of the canteen during the event and also to Mr. Lach and Mr. Piovesan for volunteering to be timekeepers.
