Jones has accepted an offer from Norwich University (NCAA) in Vermont. Callum will be playing for both the hockey and lacrosse programs at Norwich.

Jones, who was an assistant captain, just completed his second season with the Blades. He was signed as a forward originally, however, was moved back to defence prior to the start of the 18-19 season. In his first season on the back end, Jones was a massive part of the Blades team that would make it to the National Semi-Finals.

Oakville Blades Vice President Mike Tarantino had this to say regarding Jones, “His attitude and work ethic were infectious in our dressing room. He was as tenacious as they come on the ice and I’m sure opposing forwards hate playing against him. We’re really excited to see him move on to play NCAA hockey.

Kyle Lewis

Lewis has accepted an offer from Nipissing University (U Sports) in North Bay.

Lewis joined the Blades just prior to the January 10th deadline and made an immediate impact. He was a key forward for the team on their run. Lewis was tenacious on the forecheck causing problems for opposing defenders and produced nearly a point a game in the playoffs.

“Kyle Lewis made an immediate impact on our hockey team on and off the ice.” Mike Tarantino said. “Kyle provided leadership and had a knack for stepping up in big games. Off the ice he was a great teammate who did anything asked of him to help make the team successful. We are happy to see him advance to play U Sports hockey.”

The Oakville Blades Junior A Hockey Team are very proud of both Callum and Kyle and wish them all the best in the future!
