Coming into Sunday's Quarterfinal the Oakville Blue Devils Women were sitting on a comfortable 2-0 lead versus Darby FC.

If the visitors thought they were still in the tie, Oakville's team captain Laura Twidle was of a different mind. The speedy attacker scored a Hat Trick on the day and added two assists for good measure.

Oakville got the ball rolling in the ninth minute as Mahira Ali sent Maria Poveda in alone. Maira scored which gave the Blue Devils an early lead.  Only a few minutes later, Ali would find herself on the receiving end of a slick one-touch pass from Twidle. It set up the Egyptian International for her first of the post-season.

Shortly before the break, it would be the Captain netting her first of the match and second in as many games.

In the second half, Twidle was back at it again. She beat two Darby FC defenders to a loose ball and coolly slot home her second. Jenny Wolever  joined the action and once again Twidle set things up. She then completed the hat-trick in the 70th minute. The hat-trick put her on top of the playoff scoring chart, and making it a 6-0 final.

After the match coach John Yacou was full of praise for his squads leader.

"She's been a star player for us all year, it's very important for her to see the importance that she has with this team," commented Yacou.

Oakville will be back in action this Friday as they take on Woodbridge away in the first leg of the Semi-Finals.The Blue Devils Women were presented with the Ron Smale Cup prior to this match in recognition of their finishing first at the in League1 this season.
