Dalton Bew Named Newest Oakville Blades Captain

The Oakville Blades are pleased to announce that forward Dalton Bew has been named the newest captain of the the squad.

Bew was acquired from the Cobourg Cougars prior to playing a game this season and instantly became a force with the Blades. After a strong start that saw him record two goals in the first three games of the season, Bew managed to keep up his pace, posting 29 points in 34 games this year. Bew, a twenty year old forward from Somers Point, New Jersey, has made a formidable line with Kris Bennett and Matt McLeod this season. He has even found himself in the second top scoring spot with the Blades, an improvement from his 16 points in 47 games last year with Cobourg.

“I feel so honoured to be named the new captain of the Oakville Blades,” Bew said. “Thank you so much for all the support from the coaching staff and players.”

Oakville will look to snap a three game losing streak on Friday when the Toronto Jr. Canadiens come to Sixteen Mile Sports Complex at 7:30pm. We hope to see you all there!
