Pam Damoff, MP of Oakville North-Burlington, is encouraging both family time and active living by inviting residents to join her on Family Day weekend for a free outdoor skate at Bronte Creek Provincial Park in Oakville. The skate will take place on Saturday, February 13th from 4:00pm – 6:00pm on Bronte Creek’s Olympic size outdoor rink. In case of inclement weather, another event at the park will take place.

“As most people in my riding know, I am a huge proponent of healthy and active living, and I am always looking for ways to encourage people to get moving as part of our everyday lives and celebrations,“ said MP Damoff. “I hope many families will join me for this great fun Family Day activity.”

The two hour skate will be a wonderful opportunity for families to play together, to meet other local families and to meet MP Damoff, all while enjoying hot chocolate and some healthy activity. If the weather on Family Day weekend does not cooperate and the ice surface is not frozen, another outdoor activity at Bronte Park will be held during the same two hour period. Updates can be found on MP Damoff’s office Facebook page (facebook/PamDamoff) or on her Twitter account (@PamDamoff).

Bronte Creek Provincial Park is located at 1219 Burloak Drive in Oakville. During the two-hour period, participants should indicate at the park entrance they are there for Pam Damoff’s Family Day skate in order to gain free access to the park. Those wishing to join in the skate are asked to RSVP to the event posted on MP Damoff’s Facebook page or by emailing  [email protected] with the subject line "RSVP Bronte Creek Skate".
