This is the first Oval win for Hinchcliffe, and provides the Andretti team with dominance on the Iowa track with it's fourth consecutive win. Needless to the say they were ecstatic with the result. Hinchcliffe joined the Andretti Autosport Godaddy in 2012. His car was renumbered 27 in reference to Gilles & Jacques Villeneuve. His first win for the Team happened in the opening race of 2013 at St. Petersburg, Florida.

He began his racing career in karting and captured numerous titles such as the TKC Junior Rotax Class Karting Championship, the Junior Rotax Canada Cup and TKC Winter Series Championship. James was born in Oakville on December 5, 1986, and currently drives a Dallara with a Chevy Engine.

His next race is on July 7th at Pocono Indy 400. On July 13th he'll be close to home when he competes in Toronto at the Honda Indy. The next day he'll be hosting the 8th annual Hinchtown Party. So Oakville race fans will be able to support the hometown boy, close to home. Tickets are available on line at Hondy Indy Toronto.
