Oakville Today: February 20, 2013

Baby it’s cold outside. Yup you’re going to need your woolies, since it is minus 17 with the windchill. Today’s high will be minus 5 or minus 14 with the windchill. On top of the cold, scatter flurries are expected, but accumulation will be negligible. The wind will be a brisk 30 to 35 km/h, initially coming out of the north-west and then north. We might see a little sun – which would be pleasant. The sun rose at 7:09 AM and sets at 7:55 PM. This is a great day to sit by the fire with a bowl of  hearty soup.

Quote of the Day

“The wind makes you ache is some place that is deeper than your bones. It may be that it touches something old in the human soul, a chord of race memory that says Migrate or die – migrate or die.”  – Stephen King
