Oakville Vital Signs® is an illustrative and informative summary of the issue areas affecting Oakville’s community vitality. The project is intended as an essential checkup that will assess the changing social landscape in Oakville, and considers 12 issue areas that determine quality of life in the community – including poverty, mental health, charitable giving and volunteerism.

In collaboration with the national Vital Signs initiative being conducted by Community Foundations of Canada, The Oakville Community Foundation will be one of more than 30 other municipalities nationwide conducting this report. The Vital Signs report will draw from various databases, while facilitating new and engaging research in an effort to align community goal-setting. The published findings are an important starting point for The Foundation to determine future engagement and creative problem solving opportunities around issues that affect the vitality in the Oakville community.

The impact of Oakville Vital Signs 2015 is sure to extend beyond just The Foundation’s vision, as it will provide crucial data to charities and agencies across Oakville and Halton, helping to delivery efficacy in programming, and matching new services to emerging needs.

To receive a copy of the vital signs report, The Foundation has developed an online request form at www.theocf.org/ vitalsigns/register.  The Foundation will be pleased to send a copy of this report following the launch on October 6th.
