It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jacqueline Francis Lowney, who left us on July 15, 2024, at Guelph General Hospital at the age of 80. Jacqueline was a loving mother to Kim (Chris) and Patrick, and a cherished grandmother to Tyler, Lexi, Aidan, and Lily. She was a devoted sister to Pat (Ron) and Dan, and she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald, in 1988. Jacqueline will be forever remembered by her extended family and friends, whose lives she touched with her warmth and kindness.
Born in Sudbury, Ontario, to John and Yvonne McLean, Jacqueline spent much of her life in Northern Ontario, a place that always held a special place in her heart. Later, she moved to Oakville, where she continued to create lasting memories with her family. A true homebody, she loved hosting family gatherings and the ladies of Upton Court, often inviting loved ones over for a refreshing swim in the pool and engaging in heartfelt conversations.
Friends and relatives are invited to visit Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home – Hart Chapel (1099 Gordon St. Guelph) for a Celebration of Life Gathering on Sunday, July 28 from 1 – 3 pm. Private interment to follow at a later date.
As we celebrate Jacqueline’s life, please raise a glass of Captain Morgan's and Pepsi, her favorite drink, and remember the joy she brought to our lives.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Parkinson's research in her honor.
Rest in peace, Jacqueline. You will be deeply missed.
