Physical altercation leads to hit & run in Westmount

The Halton Regional Police are seeking the public’s assistances in identifying witnesses to a physical altercation between two men and a subsequent collision where a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle.

On Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at 2:20 pm, police and paramedics responded to the intersection of Grand Oak Trail and Greenwich Drive, Oakville, regarding a 22 year old man who was struck by a vehicle. The intersection is located south of Dundas and north of Pine Glen. The victim, who suffered minor injuries, was taken to the hospital and released later in the day.

Police believe the victim was involved in a physical altercation with the driver of the suspect vehicle minutes prior to the collision. The physical altercation is believed to have occurred in a townhouse complex northwest of intersection at Grand Oak Trail and Greenwich Drive.

The suspect vehicle is described as a white Ford Focus with tinted windows. The suspect vehicle also has a broken rear taillight.
