38-year-old on release orders arrested in connection to residential break-ins

A 38-year-old man from Georgetown has been arrested following two separate break and enters this week. On March 25, Halton Police responded to two reports of break-ins in the area of Main Street North and Kennedy Street in Georgetown.

A 38-year-old man from Georgetown has been arrested following two separate break and enters this week. 

On March 25, Halton Police responded to two reports of break-ins in the area of Main Street North and Kennedy Street in Georgetown.

Both instances happened over the weekend while the homeowners were away. Police say the suspect forced entry to both residences taking items of value, debit and credit cards.

On March 27, Christopher Dayfoot (38), of Georgetown, has been charged with the following:

  • Break and Enter Commit an Indictable Offence (2 Counts)
  • Fraudulent use of Credit Cards (2 Counts)
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000
  • Breach of a Release Order

According to Halton Police, at the time of the offences, Dayfoot was on two different forms of release orders stemming from previous criminal charges.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
