A noticeable drop in cases: Sept. 11-17 Oakville crime report

Halton Regional Police responded to 35 crime incidents in Oakville from Sep. 11-17, 2024. Crime numbers have dropped by 45.71 per cent.

Last Friday, September 13 was the busiest day, with 7 reported incidents. Uptown Core residents reported most crimes in this period (13 in total.)

In addition, 10 cases of theft under $5,000 were reported throughout the neighbourhood. Oakville residents are reminded to be mindful on the road.

Over the past seven days, Halton Police responded to four incidents of bicycle theft in Oakville. If this rate stayed consistent, there would be 192 incidents a year. Over the last 30 days, there have been 67 cases of bicycle thefts.

Over the last six months, 172 instances of bicycle thefts at homes in Oakville were reported. In the past year, there were 261.
