A popular breakfast chain at the Oakville and Burlington border is reporting a theft from earlier this week, with the restaurance robbed just before opening for the day.
The Sunset Grill at Appleby Road and Dundas Street was burglarized on the morning of Tuesday, Jan, 21.
At around 5:45 a.m., less than an hour before the restaurant was set to open, the glass front door was smashed and thieves took off with the cash register.
The value of the theft is thought to be less than $5,000.
Halton Police do not have any information on suspects, and say the investigation is ongoing.
