Halton Police are investigating a theft case that took place at an Oakville convenience store, where six possibly teenage suspects stole cases of Twisted Tea alcoholic drinks in broad daylight on Halloween.
The incident took place on Oct. 31, 2024, in the parking lot outside of West Oak convenience store on West Oak Trails in Oakville.
Security video footage shows two possibly connected groups of Oakville youth (believed to be teenagers) congregating outside the convenience store, before each of the two groups both steal a case of Twisted Tea alcoholic beverages from a palette outside the store.
A video of the theft was captured by a nearby camera and can been seen below:

The owners of the store had the cases outside with the intention of bringing the cases into their store so they could be purchased by customers.
The two suspected teenage groups grabbed one case of Twisted Tea each, then ran off with the alcohol.
While the owners were inside their store and not paying attention to the parking lot, one boy in a group of two boys ran off with a case and both were chased after by two of the owners.
Once the owners left the property, one girl in a group of four stole a second case and ran off in the opposite direction.
Coincidentally, Oct. 31 was the first day big box stores and grocery stores in Ontario were allowed to sell packs of alcoholic beverages. (Convenience stores have been allowed to sell them since Sept. 5 this year.)
