Man shot in front of his Oakville home Saturday morning

Descriptions of assailant or their vehicle are limited at this time, police say

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating a shooting incident that took place in Oakville on Saturday morning. 

On Nov. 16 at approximately 10:28 a.m. an adult male was shot outside his Oakville residence. A vehicle was seen approaching the man’s residence which is located in the area of Wavecrest Street and Creek Path Avenue in Oakville. One assailant was seen exiting the vehicle and immediately confronted the victim.  During the ensuing interaction, the victim sustained a gunshot injury. The assailant fled in the awaiting vehicle immediately after the shooting. 

The victim is being treated in hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. 

The suspect fled in a white compact style SUV. No make, model or licence plate was obtained. 

Limited descriptors of the assailant are currently available. The suspect is described as male, wearing dark clothing and wearing a mask covering the lower portion of his face.

This victim appears to have been targeted during this shooting and members of the Halton Regional Police Major Crime Bureau have assumed carriage of this investigation.

Police are actively investigating and would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed or have knowledge about this incident. Police are also appealing to anyone who may have dash cam footage or surveillance images that will assist in this case.
