Oakville homes targeted in overnight break-ins, police investigating

Two Oakville homes were hit earlier this month after windows were smashed at homes near Colonel William Parkway.

According to Halton police Media Relations officer Ryan Anderson, a home on Liptay Avenue was broken into sometime overnight from July 6 - July 7.

The rear door window of the home was smashed to gain entry, residents of the house were not there at the time.

The items taken have yet to be confirmed.

At 4 a.m. on July 7, a home nearby on Saddleworth Crescent was also broken into by way of smashing the glass at the rear door of the home.

Residents were also not home at the time of the incident and the items taken have yet to be confirmed.

No suspect information is available for either incident.

"These break-ins being connected is certainly something investigators will be considering," Constable Anderson told Oakville News.
