One assaulted at Oakville GO station, over $4,000 in valuables stolen

Police are investigating a violent robbery that occurred last weekend at the Oakville GO station. Approximately $4,400 of valuables were stolen.

Police are investigating a violent robbery that occurred last weekend at the Oakville GO station.

According to Halton police Constable Jeff Dillon, the robbery took place on July 13, 2024, between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. at the GO station located at 214 Cross Avenue.

It is alleged that a male victim was approached by four male suspects, one of whom was carrying a baseball bat.

The suspects demanded that the victim turn over his backpack and police say he was struck in the head with the baseball bat.

The black backpack, which was taken, contained a laptop, cell phone, wallet, clothing, and headphones. The total value of the stolen items is approximately $4,400.

Constable Dillon said the victim did not sustain any physical injuries and did not require medical attention. The suspects fled the scene on foot.

The suspects have been described only as four white males, approximately 5’10” in height, all wearing COVID masks. The investigation is ongoing.
