Halton Police are looking into a robbery that occurred from the parking lot of an Oakville Value Village earlier this week.

On Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, at around 1:55 p.m, police say that two suspects in a dark coloured Sedan were present at the parking lot.

The driver was reported to be a male, while the other suspect was reported as female. The two suspects approached two adults, one male and one female, at the lot.

According to police, the female suspect, who was reportedly seated at the rear seat of the Sedan, asked the female victim to approach the car. The female suspect then showed the female victim jewellery.

Police say that the female suspect removed bracelets from the female victim's wrists, while the victim was looking at the suspect's jewellery. Both the suspects then allegedly fled the area with the Sedan. Police say that no injuries were reported during the robbery and that the estimated value of the bracelets were over $5,000.

Police describe the female suspect as approximately 40-50 years old, with grey hair. The female suspect was also reportedly wearing a black and white patterned coat. No description was provided for the male driver.

The incident took place at the Value Village at 2506 Hampshire Gate here in Oakville.

This style of jewellery theft was also reported by Halton Police back in November 2024, after a string of similar incidents occurred in the Oakville and across the region.
