Residents threatened with gun during Oakville home invasion

Halton police are investigating after a home was broken into on Spruce Street at 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

Halton police are investigating after a home was broken into on Spruce Street at 1:30 a.m. yesterday, Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2024.

According to Halton Police Media Relations Officer Jeff Dillon, a group of three male suspects smashed the rear glass door of the home with a rock to gain entry.

It is alleged that the suspects, who were wearing masks, threatened the resident with a gun before stealing the keys to the resident’s vehicle. The suspects then fled the scene in the stolen vehicle.

No physical injuries were reported. However, the suspects remain at large, and no arrests have been made.

Police have yet to confirm a detailed description of the suspects.
