Several gunshots fired at north Halton home

Early-morning incident believed to be targeted

Halton police are investigating a shooting yesterday morning, March 3, 2025, in Georgetown.

According to police, several gunshots were fired at a detached residence in the area of Highway 7 and Trafalgar Road Monday between 4 and 4:30 a.m. No one was injured and the shots struck a window at the front of the home. 

Investigators believe the shooting was targeted and there is no ongoing related threat to public safety.

Police believe the shots were fired from Hwy. 7 towards the home.

Investigators are looking for any dash cam footage of the area between the hours of 3:00 a.m. – 5:00 a.m. yesterday. Police would also like to speak with anyone who may have been in the area and seen anything suspicious.
