Stolen vehicles recovered in Oakville after early morning home invasion

Witnesses in Bronte say they heard a bang outside an apartment complex around 9:30 a.m.

Peel Police have released details following several arrests and the recovery of high-end stolen vehicles yesterday, Oct. 2, 2024, in both Bronte and Hamilton.

Police say they responded to a home invasion in Mississauga near Longford Drive and Thomas Street just after 5 a.m.

Police say multiple suspects broke into the residence, stealing keys to two luxury vehicles: a BMW and a Lamborghini and fled the scene.

No injuries were reported from residents of the home.

Witnesses in Bronte say they heard a bang outside an apartment complex near the intersection of Bronte Road and Sovereign Street around 9:30 a.m.

The witnesses say they saw a suspect taken into custody at the scene.

Police say the two stolen vehicles were recovered and several suspects were taken into custody with pending charges.

The investigation is ongoing and no suspect information has been released at this time.
