Suspect sought after employee pepper sprayed during store theft

Following early reports, police have released images of a suspect in the reported case of a grocery store employee being pepper sprayed during a robbery from the premises

On January 6 at approximately 5:50 p.m., a female suspect attended the Fortinos grocery store at 493 Dundas Street West where the suspect was allegedly observed concealing store merchandise

Halton Police is "seeking the public's help" to identify a female suspect involved in an Oakville robbery.

On January 6, 2025, at approximately 5:50 pm the female suspect attended Fortinos grocery store located at 493 Dundas Street West where the suspect was observed concealing store merchandise.

As the loss prevention officer attempted to place the suspect under arrest, the suspect sprayed the loss prevention officer with pepper spray and fled the store. Minor physical injuries were sustained.

The female suspect is believed to be in her late 30s, approximately 5’6” tall and 130 lbs with wavy black shoulder length hair, wearing dark coloured clothing.
