Oakville Place looses Pusateri’s Fine Foods announced the food purveyor on December 12, 2018. The public announcement was made via their Facebook account. Ida Pusateri and Frank Luchetta signed the post.

Its Oakville location closes on December 31, 2018. They chose Oakville Place because of its easy access off the highway, and ample free parking. The Oakville Store was Pusateri’s first location established outside of the city.

It opened on July 7, 2016 with much fanfare. They established the first posh grocery store north of the QEW. The Oakville store covers 18,500 square feet and made it their largest location.

Until December 31st, the Oakville Place location will continue to offer fresh food departments, premium grocery and gourmet prepared foods, as well as a number of new in-store experiences. The store features a shop-in-shop from Canada’s leading cold-pressed juice company, Greenhouse Juice, offering raw 100% organic juices and Pizza Couture, offering classic Roman-style pizza al taglio (by the slice). They made an effort to support locally made food.

Ida Pusateri and Frank Luchetta continued to explain that they are “committed to providing a smooth and fair transition to our team members who are affected by this announcement into relocation positions within our network, and financial support into the New Year.”

Pusateri’s hired 100 employees.

Already a number of people started commenting directly to Pusateri’s on Facebook.  Pusateri is monitoring the comments, making a strong effort to stay connected with its customers.

To one client who expressed that going to Sherway was a too far, they indicated that they deliver.

About Pusateri’s Fine Foods

In 1966  first Pusateri’s Fine Foods opened on Avenue Road in Toronto. Unfortunately, their flag-ship store on Avenue Road burned down and has been rebuilt. With its 50 year history, the retailer will continue operating five other locations. The closest location is in Saks Fifth Avenue at Sherway Gardens.
