2018 Theatre Sheridan Season

Phantom of the Opera

Performed from November 27th to December 13th

Based on the novel “Le Fantôme de l’Opéra” by Gaston Leroux

They'll perform their own unique staging of one of the most popular, most seen musicals ever. Enter the Paris Opera House where lurks a masked Phantom hided from society, tortured & disfigured, and witness the transformation unconditional love can make.

Andrew Lloyd Webber's rendition of the Phantom has run non-stop since it was first performed in London's West End in 1986. Since then, this musical won over 50 theatrical and musical awards. In 2012 the musical reached its 10,000  Broadway performance.

The Three Penny Opera

Performed by November 29th to December 9th

Music by Kurt Weill

English adaption by Marc Blitzstein

Based on The Beggar’s Opera, written by John Gay in 1728, Kurt Weill version sets us in 1837 London, on the eve of Queen Victoria’s Coronation. Macheath – a.k.a. Mack the Knife takes centre-stage – and becomes swept-up in a whirlwind tale one of which in may just not survive.

On the Town

Music by Leonard Bernstein

Book and Lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green

Based on an idea by Jerome Robbins

Follow, Ozzie, Gabey and Chip as they dance their way through the streets of 1944 New York City, all in search of that one ‘dream girl’. This classic American musical soars with the music of Leonard Bernstein, spectacular dance numbers and tunes that will leave you humming all the way home!

My Bonnie Lass

Performed from February 14th to 24th

Set in postwar Scotland and based on a true story; this is a love-letter from Johnny Reid to his grandmother Maggie. It’s a celebration of the human spirit, the power of a mother’s love, and the way the women of her generation persevered.

The House of Martin Guerre

Performed from April 9th to 21st

Music and Lyrics by Leslie Arden

Book by Leslie Arden and Anna T. Cascio

This musical has been inspired by the famous 16th Century court case about Martin Guerre and his return home from an eight year disappearance. But who is he? Only Bertande his ‘loving’ wife knows.

Chelsea Sunrise

Performed from April 11th to 21st

Inspired by classic sounds of British 1960’s music - The Cocksure Lads lead by Dusty Fosterboard, head off from Toronto to London in hopes of stardom and fame. But what awaits them is the stark realization that we all have our own paths to discover and follow in this lifetime.

Like so many opportunities in Oakville, residents watch world-class talent just a few minutes their home. Tickets are inexpensive, and you'll be comfortable. However, these productions are not a complete secret,  so you'll want to buy your tickets for the 2018 Theatre Sheridan Season tickets now.

Ticket Information

Tickets are available at the box office which is open Tuesday to Friday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM or online.

Performances take place at Sheridan College in either the Heaslip Hall or the Studio Theatre.
