slide-01With a focus on culinary talent in the Oakville community,

With a focus on culinary talent in the Oakville community, Oakville Taste is an annual event that showcases the best tastes in town to raise funds for local charities. Oakville Galleries is delighted to be both the host and beneficiary of this year's event! Save May 26th in your calendars to sample the delicious creations of Oakville's top chefs, paired with some of the finest local wines, spirits and beers. It's an event not to be missed! Early bird tickets are now available until May 14th for only $75 and can be purchased online at: www.oakvilletaste.com, or in person at Higgins Event Rentals Oakville, or at Oakville Galleries in Gairloch Gardens.

Funds raised will support Oakville Galleries' Art For All initiative, a program that ensures children of all economic backgrounds have access to high-quality art education. Art for All offers low-income families free access to the Galleries’ full range of art classes and camps: PA day programs, March Break camps, after-school and Saturday morning workshops, week-long summer camps, and more.

The benefits of arts education are legion: engagement with art in one’s formative years is among the strongest indicators of self-esteem, social cohesion and leadership capacity later in life. Not only does childhood involvement with art programs help create lifelong relationships with art and culture, early art education encourages problem solving, critical thinking and collaboration skills at a critical juncture in kids’ social development.

“These are benefits we believe all young people should have access to. With the proceeds of Oakville Taste 2013, we will be able to ensure hundreds of local children are provided with the kind of enriching art experiences that will impact them for years to come. We could not be more grateful for this support from Oakville Taste.” says Gallery Director Matthew Hyland.

Don’t miss this unique event to celebrate Oakville and help support a great cause in Gairloch Gardens.
