Halton's 3rd Annual Lunafest® takes place in Oakville

LUNAFEST®, the fundraising film festival dedicated to promoting awareness about women's issues, highlighting women filmmakers, and bringing women together in their communities, will be hosted by SAVIS of Halton and the Zonta Club of Oakville at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School in Oakville on May 29th, 2015.

This unique film festival highlights women as leaders in society, illustrated through nine short films by women filmmakers. The films range from animation to fictional drama, and cover topics such as women’s health, motherhood, body image, aging, cultural diversity and breaking barriers.

For the past two years this evening has been a wonderful community event for everyone of all ages. Lunafest is a lovely night out for friends and family. Everyone is invited!

All proceeds from LUNAFEST will benefit SAVIS of Halton, the Zonta Club of Oakville and the Breast Cancer Fund. Thus far, LUNAFEST, which is created and funded by the LUNA®, The Whole Nutrition Bar for Women®, raised over $757,000 for the Breast Cancer Fund, and over $1,715,000 for other women’s non-profit organizations.
