Drop by Sammy's Famous Old Fashion Chip Wagon, 2376 Lakeshore Road West, on Wednesday, August 27th from 11 am to 2 pm, and join Minister of Labour, Oakville MPP Kevin Flynn, local councillors and celebrity chefs to support Oakville's Terry Fox Run.
Proceeds from the lunch will be donated to the Terry Fox Foundation. Last year, Sammy donated over $800 from a one day's lunch and is hoping to top $1,000 this year.
Each September, thousands of Oakville residents come together at Coronation Park to honour Terry by participating in the local Terry Fox Run. Oakville's 2014 Terry Fox Run is scheduled for 10:00 AM Sunday, September 14 at Coronation Park. Walk, bike, board, blade, run, push a stroller or walk the dog along a beautiful lake-side 2k, 5k or 10k route to support this great Canadian cause.
Oakville's Dan and Paul Dawson, professional lacrosse players and members of the Champions Cup Rochester Knighthawks along with local leaders will be retracing Terry's steps along Lakeshore Road at 12:15 PM for a short run. Come one, come all to Sammy's Annual Terry Fox Lunch.
