Located on Reynolds just north of the Lakeshore Shopping district is the local coffee shop - Bean There. A favourite haunt of the Royal LePage Realtors - Bean There offers a good cup of coffee at various strengths and styles, and a basic, decent lunch:
sandwiches, soups, as well as assorted baked goods. In the summer there is a little patio - where during the early summer mornings you'll see at least 10 ladies sitting having a good chat. In the winter - the crowd is a little smaller - but at lunch time the place is always hopping.

I popped over to Bean There for a coffee not too long ago, since I work across the street and live just a few blocks away. This isn't my usual hang out - but as an alternative - it makes for a pleasant change. Before ordering my coffee - it was surprising to see peanut butter and Jam on toast for only $1.95. You get two pieces of toast buttered and more then enough peanut butter and jam. The offering sure beat the typical offerings by Tim Hortons and it is local independent to boot. The coffee was also good and they had brown sugar available as well.
So if you are in Downtown Oakville and are looking for a cup of coffee and a place to sit down (possibly chat with a friend) Bean There is a nice option. Prices are reasonable, service is solid, and the quality of the food is good.
