A staple for everyone who celebrates Halloween in Oakville is the house at 111 Solingate Drive. This home has hosted locals with its elaborate displays for over 30 years, and it’s back again this week to make your night a great one.

The display, hosted by Todd Wirtz, runs nightly from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. until Oct. 31, 2024.

Last year, this home claims they saw about 7,000 visitors and collected 15,000 pounds of non-perishable food and $28,000 in cash donations for Oakville's Fareshare Food Bank.

The crew is running the same fundraiser again this year and hopes for the community's support as demand for the food bank continues to rise.

Hosted by Jason Edwards, an Oakville resident who loves to put on a show for both Halloween and Christmas, this house has become a community favourite, attracting several thousand visitors every year.

Edwards was not thrilled about taking last year off but is beyond excited to bring it back for the community this week. The display will be open for the community starting at 6 p.m. every night until Oct. 31, 2024.

Edwards will also be collecting donations for the Oak Park Neighbourhood Centre through a donation box placed at the front of the display.

Another great attraction in the River Oaks area is on Oak Springs Road where you'll find lots of large set pieces that make this house stand out. The display features multiple layers of lights, props, and scenic effects, in addition to some smaller details that truly set it apart.

The entire display is fenced in at the front yard and will be a great one to get some photos with on Halloween night.

This scary looking house has some huge decorations on display and is just off of Upper Middle Road near Sixth Line. The first thing you'll see is a big grim reaper at the front door with ghosts and other statues.

This destination is another classic in town and will be a great one to add to the list for anyone's trick-or-treating route.
