Support Oakville Youth through Trauma

Radius Child and Youth Services have been helping children, teens and families affected by abuse, neglect and intimate partner violence across the Greater Toronto Area.

As everyone responds differently to an experience of trauma, our organization offers comprehensive, holistic assessment, which identifies the impact of the abuse and the unique treatment needs for each child or youth and family. Our team of highly skilled clinicians intervenes and supports the child or youth and family to heal, and move on from the abusive experience. Our programs are evidenced informed and continuously evaluated.

Currently, Radius has a 4-month wait for our services.

Timely access to support is critical. Unresolved trauma can significantly interfere with the healthy development of a child or youth; for instance, affecting their ability to create and maintain friendships, regulate their emotions or concentrate at school. More serious symptoms or disorders can also develop over time such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression. Our belief is that healthy children are the key to building strong communities.
