At 2:30 a.m., involved uniform officers located the missing boy, in the Bronte area of Oakville, safe and sound. He was returned to his care providers.

The Halton Regional Police Service thank members of the media, and the public, who reported on, and followed, this developing incident with interest.

The Halton Regional Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing 13 year-old boy, Vitaly Toews.

On Tuesday, September 30, 2014, shortly after 8:00 p.m., police were made aware that Vitaly Toews had left a Aberdeen House at 2262 Lakeshore Road West, in Oakville, following a dispute. He was last seen in the area of Lakeshore Road West and Bronte Road, at about 7:00 p.m. There is concern for his wellbeing.

Aberdeen House is a residential eight bed facility for youth and is part of Reach Out Centre for Kids (ROCK). ROCK is the largest accredited children’s mental health centre in the Region of Halton. They provide a multi-disciplinary approach to prevention, assessment and treatment of infants, children, youth and their families. Children must be experiencing emotional, behavioural, developmental or social difficulties that put them at risk for serious mental health problems to qualify for clinical services.

Vitaly Toews age is 13 years old. He is white male, 5 feet tall, with a slim build and short blond hair. He was wearing a navy blue hooded sweatshirt, navy blue pants, and dark green ‘Crocs’ footwear.
