Slip sliding away. Environment Canada has issued a Winter Travel Advisory for the evening of January 10-2018.

Yes, no sooner do we emerge from the deep freeze we get to contend with freezing rain. As I was walking today, I noticed that I kept slipping so take heed of this travel advisory.

As temperatures sit at freezing, and water starts to accumulate from the rain, it creates the perfect environment for icy roads.

If you will be out in the car this evening, you’ll want to give yourself plenty of room to stop.

Here is Environment Canada‘s Winter Travel Advisory issued on January 10-2018 at 4:36 PM.

An area of occasional rain and drizzle in moving across the regions. In some places, temperatures are locally touching zero giving freezing rain or freezing drizzle.

Some roads and sidewalks will become slippery until temperatures rise well above freezing later this evening.

Caution is advised.
