The Halton Regional Police are investigating a pedestrian collision that occurred in the Town of Oakville during the evening hours of March 26th, 2016.

At approximately 8:30PM on Saturday, March 26, 2016 a 37 year old Oakville woman was crossing Third Line mid block south of Upper Middle Road in Glen Abbey.

The female entered into the northbound lanes of Third Line and was struck by a northbound Jeep Compass operated by a 50 year old Bowmanville woman.

The female pedestrian was transported via ambulance to Hamilton General Hospital where she is listed in serious but stable condition.

The driver of the Jeep Compass did not suffer any injuries.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit attended the scene and took charge of the investigation. Third Line was closed for approximately 2 hours during the investigation.
