Following an invesitgation into this reported robbery, investigators have determined that this incident did not occur and the Halton Regional Police Sevice are not looking for any suspects in this matter.

On Wednesday April 29th at approximately 4:50 pm a young person was leaving the Metro grocery store located at Rebecca Street and Third Line in the Town of Oakville when he was approached by an unknown male.

The suspect male brandished a knife and demanded money from the youth. He obtained a small amount of cash before fleeing the area on foot, he was last seen heading northbound on Third Line. The youth was not injured as a result of the incident and quickly returned to his home where police were notified.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 25 years, 5’8” tall, blue eyes, light brown hair buzzed on the sides and short on top, darker facial hair and no moustache. He was wearing a black zip up hoodie sweatshirt with a grey or silver Chinese dragon on the front, beige work pants, brown leather belt and work boots. The knife is described as a pocket knife with a black handle and silver blade.
