Oakville News received the following letter about a proposed A&W drive-thru.
In this recent article it was not mentioned that they are also proposing a drive-thru A&W.
I have been 'blasting' a number of emails to the local councillors and mayor targeting a 'new' drive-thru' being allowed against our parkland (pathway) 3m and 20m from my residential area.
With today's commitment by cities to reduce noise, emissions, litter, etc. this goes completely against everything we stand for. The regulations allowing for this application were produced in 2002 when the word green was just a colour.
There is a bigger story here that needs to be investigated. Shame on Oakville for allowing this to continue especially at this already busy intersection.
