It's a haven for fruits and veggies and so much more - Bronte Village has opened their first ever farmer's market.

It's a haven for fruits and veggies and so much more - Bronte Village has opened their first ever farmer's market.

The Bronte BIA says they were, "pleased to officially launch its much-anticipated Bronte Farmers’ Market this past Sunday, July 7."

The new Farmers’ Market is an outcome of the BIA's recent community visioning process called Bronte Forward!, which "asked local residents, businesses and community groups to paint a picture of their aspirations for Bronte." Ninety-one percent of survey respondents noted that a Market was a priority and would inspire them to spend more time in the district.

The new Bronte Farmers’ Market operates every Sunday in July & August from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Bronte Market Square; 2445 Lakeshore Road West.

If the first Market Day was any indication, it’s going to be a bustling market season in Bronte. More than 3,500 people helped to kick of the event with 40 vendors – farmers, artisans, makers of prepared foods and bakers – and live performances by local musicians.

"We hope that the Bronte Farmers’ Market becomes a social and economic institution for supporting local and building community." says Kylie Wilson, Executive Director of the Bronte BIA.

"We want local residents and visitors from across Halton Region and beyond to spend their summer Sundays in Bronte gathering, connecting and enjoying a shared experience."
