UPDATE: OCT. 15, 7:43 p.m.
Halton Police say on X (formerly Twitter) they have reopened Dundas Street following a fatal crash at Walkers Line and Dundas Street this afternoon which claimed the life of a 94-year-old Burlington resident.
The crash occurred at the intersection when a red Jeep Wrangler and a grey Ford Focus sedan collided just before 4 p.m., sending two people to hospital. In a news release police said the passenger of the Focus was taken to an out-of-region trauma centre and later died as a result of injuries sustained.
Dundas was closed eastbound at Northampton, and westbound at Rotary Way. Walkers Line was closed, south of Dundas Street near the Longo's plaza. All have since reopened. Burlington Fire Department helped to extricate the victims from the sedan.
