'Most of the course is under water': Glen Abbey Golf Club closed due to flooding

Oakville News is learning that most of Glen Abbey Golf Club is currently flooded.

Oakville News is learning that most of Glen Abbey Golf Club is currently flooded. 

The course has confirmed today, July 16, 2024, they are closed stating that "most of our course is under water."

Visible from the bridge at Upper Middle Road near Neyagawa Boulevard, holes 11-15 are the ones visibly in the ravine.

The course has not confirmed when they expect to reopen.

According to a statement from Conservation Halton issued this afternoon, "All watercourses are significantly elevated and continue to be at, or above bankfull capacity. Today’s storm system has resulted in rainfall totals upwards of 75 mm at a number of locations across our jurisdiction."

"Although no appreciable rainfall is forecast over the next several days, water levels within our jurisdiction remain elevated and are well above normal conditions," they continued.
