Oakville residents lined up outside a brand-new Pizza Nova yesterday morning, waiting for the location to officially open its doors for business.

Pizza Nova celebrated the opening of its fourth location in Oakville on April 26, 2024, with franchisee Adjmal (AJ) Nusrat cutting the ribbon alongside the company's President Domenic Primucci and Ward 7 Councillor Nav Nanda.

Last week, on April 18, Pizza Nova announced that they would be opening their fourth location in Oakville at 2481 Taunton Road at 11 a.m.

Before the event was ready to begin, there was already a lineup of customers looking to take advantage of grand opening day festivities which included face painting for kids and pizza deals.

For Nusrat, this is his second location, bringing on 12 new employees and adding to his current operation at 620 Ford Drive. "It was very nice to see the support even before we opened," said Nusrat.

"Pizza Nova is supporting us a lot so that's very good, and also Oakville people are very nice, even at Ford Drive people are so nice and so generous that we're proud to be in Oakville and we love it here."

Opening day deals included medium pizzas for $5.99 with $1 from each sale going to Oakville's Fare Share Food Bank. Though official attendance numbers are unclear, most customers were buying two or three pizzas at a time.

Pizza Nova at 2481 Taunton Road will be open Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. - 12 a.m. On Fridays and Saturdays, the store will be open until 1 a.m.
