"It's not ideal to have two guys with that, but both guys have never had any issues off the field," Beane said in an interview with ESPN. "It's a tough lesson of where do you get your supplements or whatever happened."
Both Hoecht and Ogunjobi are able to stay with the Bills during the off-season and training camp but will be unable to return to Buffalo's facility until the two players sit out for the first four games of the regular season.
After four games, they can both return to the Bills' practice facility and will be allowed to play for the team after six games have been played.
In terms of Hoecht's suspension, he made Buffalo and all other inquiring NFL teams aware that he had tested positive for a substance three weeks after his season ended with the Los Angeles Rams.
The Bills knew before signing him that he would be sitting out for a certain amount of time and chose to sign him anyways.
Hoecht owned up to his positive test and hopes to learn from this experience.
"It was a mistake," Hoecht said to ESPN. "It was careless. It's fully my responsibility. And it's something I'm gonna have to own, something I'm going to come up on the better side of and use it as motivation and as fuel."
