On Tuesday, July 16, 2024, staff at Glen Abbey Golf Club announced an abrupt closure, saying that "most of our course is underwater."

Today, July 18, 2024, the grass is now visible on the course from the bridge at Upper Middle Road near Neyagawa Boulevard, though signs of flooding are still present.
