There's going to be lots of events this fall, catering to both residents and visitors with activities like ghost walks, pumpkin patches, and cultural festivals.
Visit Oakville has released a list of 14 "must-see" events happening in Oakville this fall. From spooky ghost walks to festive pumpkin patches, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

- UnitedWeCurl Pride Bonspiel – September 20-21 – Don’t miss the Oakville Curling Club’s Pride Bonspiel, a weekend of camaraderie, competition, and celebration. Embrace the spirit of unity on the ice as they bring together curlers of all skill levels for a truly unforgettable experience and top it off with drag shows, dinners, and dancing/karaoke that will keep you on your toes all night long.
- Culture Days – September 20-October 13 – Join in for this year’s edition of Culture Days in Oakville where you can immerse yourself in a rich array of artistic and cultural activities throughout the town. In 2023, the annual Culture Days celebration in Oakville received many accolades and was ranked first overall in the Culture Days 2023 Top Participating Communities Listing!
- Bronte Block Party – September 21 – Join the businesses of the Bronte BIA as they party in the street and kick off Culture Days in Oakville! You can enjoy live music, local vendors and exciting activities for all ages.
- Fall Celtic Festival – September 21-22 – Experience the vibrant traditions of Celtic culture at the Fall Celtic Festival. Featuring live music, food, dancing, and family-friendly activities. Enjoy a pint, listen to some Celtic tunes, and watch some of the best Irish and Highland dancers in the GTA.
- Harvest Festival – September 28-29 – Celebrate the harvest season at Bronte Creek Provincial Park’s Harvest Festival. Enjoy wagon rides, pick your own pumpkin, watch demonstrations of apple cider pressing and enjoy plenty of family-friendly activities in the great outdoors.
- Ghost Walks – October 15-30 – The Oakville Historical Society invites you to join their annual Ghost Walks this fall. Discover the eerie tales and haunted history of Oakville on this spine-chilling tour.
- The Wearable Art Show – October 24-26 – This event is Canada’s premiere fashion show and sale for lovers of wearable works of art. It showcases unique and creative fashion pieces by talented artists. This event is perfect for those looking to add a touch of originality to their wardrobe.
- Bronte Creek Classic XXVII – October 26-27 – Don’t miss the Disc Golf Tournament at Bronte Creek Provincial Park where players of all skill levels can enjoy a weekend of friendly competition in a beautiful natural setting.
- Halloween in Downtown Oakville – Various dates until November 1. Downtown Oakville is getting into the spooky spirit with many Halloween events including:
- Urban Pumpkin Patch – October 18-26 – Pick your pumpkin from the pop-up patch for a donation of $10 or more to the Oakville Milton Humane Society.
- Boos and Brews – October 8, 15, 22, 29 from 6:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. Get ready for a spooktacular evening of chills and thrills at Boos & Brews! Start your night by meeting fellow ghost chasers at a cozy local pub for a drink to steady your nerves. Then, join the Oakville Historical Society on a haunted walk through Downtown.
- Tails & Treats – October 19 – Pet lovers won’t want to miss Trick or Treat with your dog! Bring your furry friends to participating downtown shops for a fun and festive experience. Enter the costume contest, browse the pup-up maker's marketplace and more! All proceeds raised from this event will support the Oakville Humane Society.
- Scare in the Square – October 26 – Strap on your boots for Halloween line dancing, then learn the "Thriller" moves to end the night in Towne Square.
- Tiny Tots – October 31 – Spend the morning trick-or-treating through Downtown Oakville with your little ones at participating merchants along Lakeshore and side streets.
- Oakville Pumpkin Parade – November 1 – Give your jack-o-lantern another day to shine at the Oakville Museum Pumpkin Parade. Jack-o’-lantern drop-off is between 4 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. and stories, treats, and the parade take place between 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Halloween costumes are encouraged!
