Special waste drop-off this weekend at Mohawk parking lot

It’s time to purge, folks.

Halton residents can get rid of their old electronics and hazardous household items during a special waste drop-off this Saturday (Oct. 26) at the Woodbine Mohawk Park parking lot (9430 Guelph Line).

Running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the event will accept:

  • Batteries
  • Compact fluorescent light bulbs
  • Computers
  • Computer monitors
  • DVD players
  • Household hazardous cleaners
  • Motor oil
  • Paint
  • Propane tanks
  • Stereos 
  • Telephones
  • Televisions

Be sure to clear all personal information from computers and phones

Visit halton.ca/waste for a complete list of acceptable items, which can be dropped off year-round at the Halton Waste Management Site.
