Get your paint brushes ready - the town of Oakville is seeking professional artists to work on an outdoor project.
The selected artist (who must be 18 years of age and reside in the Greater Toronto Hamilton Area, with priority given to Oakville residents), will have the opportunity to create two vinyl displays for the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts' exterior. The vinyls will be displayed on the building's south-facing front entrance wall and the west-facing fly tower.
They will also receive a fee of $5,000 CAD, inclusive of HST, while fabrication and installation costs will be covered by the town. The vinyls are expected to be on display this upcoming spring.
According to the Town, the art should emulate Oakville's local arts community, especially its dance, music and theatre communities.
Applications are due Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025.
