'All my family and friends were filled with joy when I shared the news,' says 51-year-old father of two Andrew O of Oakville

"I can’t explain this feeling. It’s such a unique experience!”

That's the conclusion of Andrew O. of Oakville, who matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the Nov. 18, 2023, Ontario 49 draw to win $100,000.

The 51-year-old father of two has been playing the lottery with OLG for about five years, the OLG said in a news release.

He enjoys playing Ontario 49 and Lotto 6/49, whether choosing his own numbers or using OLG’s Quick Pick feature to make his selections.

“When I had my ticket validated, I was in disbelief and froze! It was quite a surreal moment,” O recounted when visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings.

The winning ticket was purchased at Canadian Tire Gas+ on Dundas Street East in Oakville.

“When I told my mother, she was shocked! All my family and friends were filled with joy when I shared the news. I feel extremely lucky and fortunate."

This is the second consecutive week of a major lottery win in Oakville - another winner from Lotto Max was reported by Oakville News several days ago.
