Fentanyl & Other Drug-Related Offences - Oakville Man Charged

On May 8, 2019, members of the Halton Regional Police Service – Drug and Human Trafficking Unit concluded a drug investigation with the arrest of an Oakville resident.   One of the drugs was Fentanyl.

Following the arrest, investigators obtained judicial authorization for two search warrants in Oakville associated to the accused which believed to contain further drugs and evidence pertaining to drug trafficking.

As a result of the investigation, police seized the following items:

  1. 1 ounce of methamphetamine
  2. 1000 ML of GHB
  3. 2 grams of purple fentanyl
  4. 1 hydromorphone

A 39 year-old man from Oakville has been charged with the following offences:

  1. Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
  2. Possession for the purpose of trafficking GHB
  3. Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl
  4. Possession Hydromorphone
  5. Breach Probation Order

The suspect was held for bail.
