2015 Family Day Celebration Skating in Bronte

There is plenty to do this Family Day with activities to keep you and your family busy all day long. Start your Family Day off right with a free skate on the brand new outdoor ice rink located at Bronte Heritage Park, Oakville on Monday February 16, 10am until 12 noon. The park is located right by the lake at Bronte Road and Ontario Street.

The Bronte Business Improvement Area (BIA) and the Bronte Village Residents Association (BVRA), together with the support of Town of Oakville and sponsorship of Tim Hortons-Bronte location, invite everyone down for a fun morning of skating. Take a moment rink side to warm up with some free Tim’s hot chocolate, coffee and good old fashioned Bronte hospitality. Chat with Oakville’s Mayor Rob Burton, Ward 1 Councillors Ralph Robinson and Sean O’Meara. Meet members of the Bronte Business Improvement Area and the Bronte Village Residents Association.

Take a leisurely stroll around Bronte Village to explore the wonderful businesses that call Bronte home and warm up and have a bite in one of Bronte's fantastic restaurants or cafes.

This new outdoor skating rink is tucked away at the very south end of Bronte Rd. at Ontario St. Street near the gazebo and overlooks the beautiful harbour. The rink is maintained by a group of dedicated volunteers, and is always free to use on a first come, first served basis. We welcome more volunteers.

Family Day is a great excuse to come down and discover the hidden gem that is Bronte in the wintertime. So get your Family Day off to a great start by lacing up those skates! Share some Bronte LOVE! We look forward to seeing you there.
