The Town of Oakville invites residents to show their national pride at Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park on Monday, July 1st to celebrate Canada Day 2019. This family-friendly evening event features fun activities and entertainment, food trucks, and the always impressive fireworks display over Lake Ontario.

The celebration begins at 6 p.m. and includes performances by the High Rendition Jazz Band, Super Fire, the Oakville Chinese Network, plus inflatables, food trucks, face painters and activities for kids in the park. The fireworks display will begin at 10 p.m. weather permitting.

“Canada Day is a time to gather with friends, family and community to celebrate our beautiful country and all the unique qualities that make our nation so special,” said Mayor Rob Burton. “We look forward to another wonderful celebration and welcome everyone to join in the festivities to mark Canada’s birthday.”

Festival-goers are encouraged to take the pay-one-way Oakville Transit shuttle to and from Bronte GO Station. Shuttle service begins at 5:30 p.m. and runs every 10 minutes. The last shuttle to the park leaves Bronte GO Station at 9:30 p.m. Return shuttle service to Bronte GO Station will begin once the fireworks display has ended. Road closures will be in effect and there is no event parking available onsite
