Pets
Large crowds, noise, heat and excitement can be an unsafe environment for your pet. Visitors to the Oakville Children’s Festival are encouraged to leave their pets at home.
Smoke-free
The Town of Oakville is committed to providing smoke-free outdoor spaces where kids play. In 2012, the Town of Oakville banned smoking within nine metres of all town-owned parks, playgrounds, splash pads, tennis courts, basketball courts, skateboard parks and playing fields.

Didn’t attend the 2014 Oakville Children’s Festival?
It was blue skies and sunshine at the first-ever Oakville Children’s Festival held on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Coronation Park.
More than 15,000 festival-goers enjoyed performances by multi-award-winning Sharon, Bram & Friends, Sheesham & Lotus, Jack Grunsky, IncrediBrent, and Safari Science. Corpus’ Les moutons (actors dressed as sheep) and the Fantasy Fables Snow Queen and Ice Princess ensured lasting memories for all.
Fun and learning continued throughout the park with interactive building and art activities, story times, reptile and science shows, kids’ play zone and obstacle course, face painting, balloon artists, and more. The Kinsmen Club of Oakville and food trucks served up great eats for both adults and kids.
