20 per cent drop in incidents: March 13-18, 2025 Oakville crime report

Despite higher than normal hit-and-run incidents, total reported crimes have dropped for the third week in a row

Halton Regional Police responded to 35 crime incidents in Oakville, from March 13-18, 2025. Crime numbers dropped by 22.22 per cent.

Monday, March 17th was the busiest day, with 11 reported incidents. Old Oakville residents reported most crimes in this period (eight in total).

In addition, seven incidents of Motor Vehicle Hit & Runs were reported.

In the past seven days, Halton Police responded to one incident that involved offensive weapons. If this rate stayed consistent, there would be 36 incidents a year. Over the last 30 days, there have been 4 incidents throughout the neighbourhood.

Over the last six months, 19 reported incidents involving offensive weapons in Oakville were reported. In the past year, there were 54.
